General
Podiatry, our clinical standards and common general questions.
What is podology and who performs it?+
Podology is the discipline that maintains foot health and addresses structural-functional issues of the feet and nails through non-surgical methods. The service is provided by certified podologists in a sterile clinical environment.
I have diabetes — can I receive foot care?+
Yes. We have a dedicated care protocol for diabetic patients that includes a risk assessment and is delivered with a gentle, controlled technique.
Is surgery required for an ingrown toenail?+
In most cases, no. Conservative methods like orthonyxia braces, tamponade and packing rapidly reduce pain and guide the nail to grow correctly.
Are the treatments painful?+
Our treatments are pain-free and comfortable. We use gentle techniques in sensitive areas and topical products when needed.
How often should I return for care?+
Periodic care every 4-8 weeks is generally recommended. We tailor the plan to your foot anatomy, profession and daily activity.
How is sterility and hygiene maintained?+
All instruments are sterilized to medical standards, single-use materials are preferred, and clinical hygiene protocols are followed without exception.

A standard medical foot care session lasts 45–60 minutes.
Diabetic Foot Care
Risk-assessed foot care designed for diabetic patients.
Can I clean wounds myself?+
Never cut your own nails or clean wounds yourself if you are diabetic. Always seek professional support.
Fungal Nail Care & Follow-up
Podology care and follow-up for thickened or discolored nails.
Does podology care cure nail fungus?+
Podology care cleans and thins the nail and supports healthy regrowth; it does not replace medical treatment. Physician follow-up is recommended when needed.
Can I wear nail polish?+
During the care process, avoiding polish is recommended so the nail can breathe and progress can be monitored.
Ingrown Toenail Care
Pain-free solutions including ortho-nail brace (orthonyxia) applications.
How long until I recover?+
Most patients feel noticeable relief after the first session; full correction can take 4–6 months.
How do I prevent it from coming back?+
Correct nail cutting, suitable footwear and periodic check-ups are the most important preventive measures.
Corn & Callus Care
Painless corn and callus removal — and prevention of recurrence.
Is callus removal painful?+
No. With sterile, specialized instruments the procedure is painless and the surrounding skin isn't injured.
Why do they keep coming back?+
Usually due to footwear, gait or foot structure. We assess the cause together during the session.
How should I care for them at home?+
Regular moisturizing and suitable footwear are the most important home care; never use blades or tweezers yourself.
Heel Fissure Care
A restorative heel-care protocol for deep cracks.
Will heel fissures heal in a single session?+
Noticeable relief is felt after the first session; full repair usually requires 2–3 sessions and regular home care.
Which moisturizer should I use?+
Urea-based podology foot moisturizers are recommended. A product suitable for you is recommended during the session.
Can I wear open shoes in summer?+
Until the fissure fully closes, closed-back, supportive shoes should be preferred.
Geriatric Foot Care
Protective, supportive podology care for older adults.
Is treatment safe for older adults?+
Yes. Treatments use gentle, controlled techniques tailored to skin sensitivity, circulation and overall health.
Can I accompany my relative during the session?+
Yes. A companion may be present during care; client comfort is the priority.
Do chronic conditions affect care?+
Conditions like diabetes, circulatory issues or skin disorders should be shared before the appointment so the protocol can be adapted.
Sports Foot Care
Podology care that supports athletic comfort and performance.
When should I get care before a race?+
Scheduling at least a few days before the race is recommended so the feet can adapt to the treatment.
How are blisters handled?+
Blisters are evaluated with infection risk in mind, drained in a controlled and sterile way when necessary, and protected.
Can I train right after a session?+
In most cases yes. Brief activity adjustments may be recommended depending on the treatment.
Preventive Foot Care
Periodic preventive care that stops issues before they start.
I have no complaints — why book preventive care?+
Many foot problems aren't noticed at the early stage. Regular check-ups are the easiest way to address them before they grow.
Is it suitable for my child?+
Yes. Preventive care is very valuable for monitoring nail structure and gait development in children.
